Getting to the campus

We strongly recommend using public transportation to get to the venue. The easiest way to get there is by metro. The campus is located at the metro stop "Jussieu", which is served by lines 7 and 10. Many different bus lines also serve the campus. For details we recommend you visit the RATP website, or alternatively rely on an application such as Citymapper.

If you have a phone with NFC, metro tickets can be purchased by the RATP app. This can avoid you some long waits at the train station upon arrival.

Getting to Paris

...by train

Paris has many train stations, all directly connected to the metro network. For ecological reasons, we strongly encourage to travel by train.

...by plane

If you are traveling by plane, you will probably arrive via one of the main airports in Paris: Orly or Charles de Gaulle. Both airports are connected to the public transport network, which makes it rather convenient to reach the city center.

From Orly Airport it has now become very convenient to travel to and from the center of Paris. The airport is now directly connected to metro line 14 (Gare de Lyon is 25 minutes walk from the university, there is also buses). There is also the option to take the Orly bus or to travel by Taxi. For more information on taxi travel, we recommend you visit the website of Orly airport. By careful to only take official taxis (follow the signs in the airport and do not follow anyone who spontaneously proposes a taxi ride to you), and note that a fixed price applies for travel to and from the airport to the city center.

From Charles de Gaulle Airport it is most convenient to use the RER B train (which is well connected to the metro systems) to get to the center of Paris (stop at Saint-Michel and take line 10 to "Jussieu" to go to the colloquium directly). There is also the option to travel by Taxi. For more information on taxi travel, we recommend you visit the website of CDG airport. By careful to only take official taxis (follow the signs in the airport and do not follow anyone who spontaneously proposes you a taxi ride), and note that a fixed price applies for travel to and from the airport to the city center.
